NREP Staff

Davy Clark, Program Director

Davy is a graduate of The Evergreen State College, where he received a bachelors of arts with a focus in Environmental Education. His journey in the watershed began in 2011 when he began working where the River meets the Sound, leading environmental education programs for Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge. There he worked to connect preschool through college aged students with the estuary and wetlands that comprised the mosaic of habitats found at that end of the Nisqually Watershed. He looks forward to bringing students to sites all throughout the watershed, from Mount Rainier, all the way to Puget Sound.

Chunteva SmithAmeriCorps Environmental Educator

Chunteva brings to her role a diverse background in forestry, habitat restoration, GIS, greenhouse management, and natural resource management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management after beginning her academic journey at Green River College’s Natural Resources Program, where she was mentored by faculty with deep expertise in the field. Chunteva has worked with the U.S. Forest Service, the Department of Natural Resources, local governments, nonprofit organizations, and alongside tribal partners, building hands-on experience across ecological disciplines. Her passion for environmental education took root during her BAS capstone project, a school-based restoration effort in Tukwila and has since grown into a commitment to fostering curiosity, inclusivity, and stewardship in the next generation of environmental leaders. As part of the NREP team, she is excited to support outdoor science.
