*Virtual Water Quality Monitoring Resources*
Water Quality Monitoring is going virtual! Click here to access the new Water Quality Monitoring Portal! Data will be uploaded site-by-site throughout October and then again in mid-February. Want to learn more about the portal and how to get the most out of it? Watch our video here!
*NEW FOR WINTER!*
To supplement the portal, you can add this updated Google Slide Interactive Field Notebook to your Google Drive to use with Google Classroom for your students. You can also add it to your own Google Drive and use for homeschooling or just for fun! It’s also available in PowerPoint format for those using Microsoft Products.
Want just the data sheet from the journal? We have it available as an interactive Google Slide or as a printable PDF.
Fall 2020 Distance Learning WQ Resources
Student Test Kits
Want a hands-on element to your portal investigation? Request a student test kit for the students in your class! Each kit contains two pH strips, a nitrate strip, data sheets and instructions. Check out these instructional videos for the pH and nitrate strips if your students need extra help.
Optional add-ons include a small sample of water from your site, and/or the materials to do our Seltzer Science experiment, which demonstrates the relationship between temperature and dissolved gases!
All of these resources are already embedded into the portal as well!
Fall Interactive Journals/Data Sheets
To supplement the portal, you can add this Google Slide Interactive Field Notebook to your Google Classroom for your students. You can also add it to your own Google Drive and use for homeschooling or just for fun! It’s also available in PowerPoint format for those using Microsoft Products, and we also have printable versions of the journal in both fullsize and booklet (make sure to select ‘flip on the short edge’ when printing the booklet!) of the Field Journal available! Please note: for all of these journals, if you are NOT receiving student WQ kits from us, you’ll want to remove slides 11 and 13 before sharing with your students, as they are data sheets for the pH and nitrate strips in the kit.
Want just the data sheet from the journal? We have it available as an interactive Google Slide or as a printable PDF.
